First Photoshoot

My long-time friend from elementary school and Mark's old next door neighbor, Nicole Carman Christensen took photos of Boston yesterday.

Side note: she also happens to be the person who introduced Mark and I to eachother so without her there wouldn't be a Boston Simonsen.

Anyways she is such a talented photographer so check out her blog if you're looking for one http://nicolecarmanphotography.blogspot.com. After he peed on us three times and pooped on Mark's new shirt we got some great pictures. Here's a preview ... more to follow.

Day Trip

Last week we thought it would be fun to get out so we went and spent the day up in Salt Lake. We walked around temple square and saw a new exhibit they had on the family which was really awesome and then went and saw the Joseph Smith movie. Boston pretty much slept through the entire afternoon. Then we met up with my brother Rick (who lives in Sandy) and his girlfriend Julie and had dinner together at the Olive Garden. Afterwords we went over to the Mayan resturaunt for desert. We didn't want to eat dinner there because there food isn't very good but the atmosphere there is so fun. Turns out their deserts aren't fabulous either but they had an amazing fire dancer and we got to see some really cool dives so it was still definetly worth the trip.

Boston's first week home!

Coming home from the hospital.

His first picture with his eyes open.

Boston's first of many trips to Red Lobster. Look his hat is covering his eyes ... we didn't even notice that until we looked at the picture.

He likes to hold his pacifier in himself.

He has so many cute sleeping positions ... this one is my favorite and from this angle you can see that he has his daddy's ears.

He just melts in Mark's arms. Sorry the picture is sideways.

helping daddy with his homework

Boston's first day at church ... my mom made the adorable outfit for him.

He slept through the entire thing.

He loves his grandma and grandpa.

My parents drove up from California the day Boston was born so here are some pictures of them together.

Any resemblence?...

My brother Rick and his girlfriend Julie. I think Boston looks a lot like Rick.

Cuddle time is the best and Boston loves to cuddle ... at least for now so I'm taking advantage of that.

He's finally here!!

Boston Russell Simonsen was born at 7:51am on 7/31. 8lbs 3 oz and 20 in. long. Mark said "he looks like a german body builder" and I thought "he looks like my brother!" It's so funny to see him next to other babies in the nursery because then he really looks huge. I can't believe he fit inside me ... he must have really been smashed. We are so grateful that he's perfectly healthy and such a sweet boy. He's been so easy to sooth and loves his daddy's voice. We are loving being parents and are grateful for the support of our friends and family. As you can see below Boston has had many visitors. It's fun to see him with each family member and see what features they share so I couldn't leave any of them out. I hope all the pictures make up for the delayed post.
