Look Who's Talking!

Boston has gotten so talkative (and drooly). The places he talks the most are his changing table and his play mate. Usually when we pull out the camera his eyes get huge and he becomes stiff as a board and dead silent. I think the reason why we always get pictures of him looking at the camera is because he's afraid of it so it took several takes to finaly capture a clip of him talking. I had to sneak up on him.

Old News...

We went to a really fun murder mystery dinner a few weeks ago with people in our ward. It was set at a disco club and provided five hours of non-stop laughter. We highjacked these pictures off of the Gunnells blog.

Cameron James is finally here!!

We have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this sweet little boy. He was born November 9th weighing in at 7 pounds 12 ounces and 19.5 inches long. We feel so blessed to have another healthy little baby in our family! We are so excited that Boston has a male cousin so close in age to him even though he looks like a giant compared to him right now.


Boston smiled when he saw Cameron ... it was so precious.

It's hard for me to believe that Boston was ever that small.

It's not a joke?...

Shortly after Boston was born our family got recruited to be on pass along cards for the church. We went for a tryout photoshoot and I thought it was a joke when a few weeks later Mark told me they wanted to use our family. I was tempted to back out but I must admit I was lured in by how much they were willing to pay us for just two hours of our time!

We went to the LDS motion picture studios for the shoot and it was the real deal ... hair, makeup and wardrobe. They even had an entire wardrobe for Boston! This experience made me realize I would hate being a model. It was so weird to just stand there and have them take picture after picture with a group of people off to the side looking at each picture as it came up and commenting on them. It made me feel so self concious and every few seconds (literally) someone would run in and fix our hair or our clothes. I felt like I was under a microscope and afterwords I couldn't wait to get home and shower off all the makeup and hairspray!

The funniest part was that they didn't want us to smile we were supposed to just look like we were wondering what our future holds in store so they kept saying "smile with your eyes but not your mouth" ... I still don't know how to do that. So yesterday we got these photos in the mail. I'm still not sure which picture they're using (if any) and what the finished product is going to look like. They are for the new pass along cards that the church piloted last year so you may have seen them. They are business card size and will have questions on them like "Why am I here" "What happens when I die" thus the deep reflection on our faces.
