Last weekend was so busy but fun! On Friday night we went to Park City with some friends and had dinner at an Indian restuarant called Good Karma. Other then the rediculously small portion sizes the food was fabulous! Then we walked main street and got into a showing of Earth Day which is a documentary about the environmentalist movement. It was very well made and "mostly" true. Thanks to the grandparents for watching Boston and thanks to Kaela for documenting the night with pictures!
Then on Saturday Mark had a 12 hour day filming at the LDS motion pictures studio. He has been growing out his beard for the event and when he got there this is how they cut it for the scene.
Attractive huh... They were filming a scene of the conference after Joseph Smith was martyred and Mark made it on the stand right behind Brigham Young! While he was filming all day Boston and I got to spend the day with my brother and my parents! They drove in from California for the weekend so we were really excited to spend time with them!
Then that night we had a couple from our ward over and we created sculptures out of ice cream and protective packages for an egg which we then dropped off our third story balcony. The second try we were both successful!
They did and clown and we did the Salt Lake temple.

A military family....
Mark was commissioned into the Navy last Sunday as a Chaplain Canidate so we're officialy a military family! He still has a year left at BYU and then he'll go to officer training and then after that he'll have three options 1. Go active duty in the navy 2. stay a reserve officer or 3. walk away from the military altogether. He plans on going active which means we could be living anywhere in the world in a year and a half. We're excited!
I'm so proud of Mark and grateful for all the work he has put into getting to this point. We remember when it used to feel like we would be in school forever and now the end seems almost too near for me. Lt. Morgan has mentored Mark through the whole application process (and let me tell you it is quite the process) and he flew out to commission Mark. It was a wonderful day for our family because afterwords Cameron got blessed!
Mark and Lt. Morgan
Brother Wailey and his wife (He's a former military chaplain and involved with military relations for the church)
Our wonderfuly supportive family!

Swimming in Palm Springs
One of the things I couldn't wait to do when we got to Palm Springs was take Boston to the pool. He had fun splashing around and then would look at me with a funny face as if to ask "hey who just splashed me?"

My first trip to the beach!
We took Boston to the beach for the first time while we were in San Diego visiting some friends. It was a very windy day.
Mark wanted to put Boston's feet in the water but we decided not to because it was too cold. We enjoyed the beauty of it all though.

Eating off a spoon...
Attempt #1: rice cereal
Attempt #2: Prunes and Apples
We've only done it a few times so far but it's so entertaining! I love watching him make a mess of everything.

Cousins!
Boston enjoyed spending time with his cousins in Palm Springs over Christmas break.
Kennedy decided to lay down on Boston's play mate with him.
She liked holding him and would share her baby doll with him so that he could have someone to play with.
Boston and Cameron.
Kennedy reading to Boston on Christmas Eve.
