I've always wondered how I would respond under pressure if I was being robbed or something. I guess I thought I would react well becasue when I was in high school one night a man followed me out to my car in a grocery store parking lot and I was scared out of my mind. When he caught up with me he placed his hand on my shoulder from behind and my instincts kicked in and I threw him to the ground ... turns out it was just a sweet old man from my ward who wanted to say Hi. Whoops! ... luckily he was a retired FBI agent and rather impressed by my manuver and spent the next few years trying to convince me to join the FBI.
Well yesterday I thought someone had broken into my house (it was really just Mark thankfuly playing a joke on me). I thought I was about to die and this is what I did ... I was on the phone at the time and I chucked my cell phone across the room, screamed and threw myself onto the floor. Really?!! That's the best I have? Why would I throw my phone as far away as possible? Wow. I'm really an idiot. I guess my real insticts are to be submissive to try and avoid getting hurt. Maybe I should work on that.

Why we hate dairy!
Added to the many reasons why I hate dairy is the fact that poor little Boston has an allergy to it ... our Dr. thinks he will probably grow out of it but maybe I should show him these pictures. This happened the other day because I gave him Sunchips without checking to see if there was milk in them. I'm starting to realize that milk is in everything!! This is the worst reaction I've ever seen him have. It's because he had it on his hands and rubbed it all over his face because usually he only gets little bumps around his mouth.
When we were at lake powell some milk spilled on his leg and he had red bumps all over his leg. It's so instant that it makes me wonder if it's a skin allergy as opposed to a real food allergy. At least they always go away fast ... on this particular day his face was back to normal in about a half hour. It doesn't seem to restrict his airway thankfuly but it does make him sneeze a lot. He sneezed right as I was taking this picture ... I hope you don't have a weak stomach.

"Look what I found gramdma!"
My parents were just in town and they left Boston's birthday presents at our house and instructed us that he was not allowed to open them until his birthday (July 31st) but Boston is way too curious to let anything go untouched ... good thing my mom stapled the bags shut.
"Don't worry I haven't opened them yet."

Boston's Great Escape.
Boston was sitting in his bumbo chair watching Baby Signing Time (or so I thought) when I heard some rusteling and I went into the living room and found him like this... He had flipped his chair over and was crawling around with it still stuck to his butt.
He was just happy to be free.

Celebrating with the fam.
My parents came to visit last week and took me out to dinner for my birthday. We went to Tepanyaki and the food was so good ... except for the raw tuna my mom didn't realize she was ordering.
My brother Rick got Boston a Spounge Bob hat and a t-shirt from Joe's Crab Shack.
He's such a cheese ball... and look at all those teeth!

Good news and REALLY BAD NEWS
Good News: We got new office furniture from my brother and so now we're getting rid of the old furniture that the previous owners left in the condo when we bought it.
Bad News: When I was cleaning out our old desk I found the stimulus check that we got last year for $1163.00 that we never deposited ... and now it's EXPIRED!! It expired 10 days ago!! How did that happen?... I don't know how in the world we forgot to deposit it. I think I'm going to throw up!

Swim Lessons!
Boston just started swim lessons yesterday and he is really enjoying it. He loves being in the water and splashing. He's so funny.

The fireworks!
We got back from Lake Powell just in time to catch the fireworks from our pool. Boston was so mesmerized by them and I enjoyed watching his expressions. After they were all over he started clapping.

Powell Around
Hi-ho there. Marcus Aurelius reporting here--for once. Natasha keeps telling me this is MY blog too ... so here we go.
We spent the last few days with my family on an expedition through the dangerous, government controlled Colorado River basin, better known as Lake John Wesley Powell--ya ever heard of it? It was rather enjoyable getting sunburned (i.e. taking in the beautiful scenery), snorting water (i.e. water skiing), laying the smack down (i.e. face planting--multiple times--while attempting wakeboard trickery), and sailing the high seas (sea-dooing through the "tidal" waves of an apporaching storm). Oh, and let's not forget sporting a radical Fu Manchu and adoring Boston Baby Bean as well as the other little people of the voyage. In all seriousness, we love that place. It was the beeest.
Enjoy the photographias, and try not to be too jealous. Okay?
ABC-ya
