Hee-Haw Farms

My parents were in town for a few days so we took Boston to Hee Haw farms. They have a million things to do there and I was surprised it wasn't very crowded. Here are some of the highlights.

The family hay ride.

Looking at all the fun animals with grandma.

A pony ride and I guess he thought he was so pro at it because he had been on one a few weeks earlier so he didn't want to hold on this time.

We wheeled Boston around the farm in this little wagon.

Chaplain Halloween Party

This was our second annual Future Chaplains Halloween Party. The couple that puts it together really goes all out and I was so impressed with all the creative costumes. We didn't have a family theme like last year we just kind of threw together costumes from what we had laying around. Boston was a china man, Mark was a Vietnam Vet (fitting for a military party) and I borrowed a witch costume from a friend but you can't really tell from the pictures because I don't have the cool hat on. If you are wondering why I took off my hat just scroll down to the third picture of Boston riping Mark's wig off and you'll understand why.

Lover of small places.

If ever there is anything to climb into, under or behind Boston feels it is his duty to undertake the task and he often brings toys along for the journey. I guess he's just a pretty typical kid. Here are a few of the ways we've found him recently.

I have a feeling we will be building a lot of forts in the future.

Too funny not to share.

Before we found out we were having a boy we decided to experiment with this Halloween wig to see what having a girl would look like. Boston was such a good sport but I think he's probably relieved to be having a brother.

Results are in.

Today was our 20 week ultrasound and we were thrilled to find out we're having another BOY who looks perfectly healthy and very active! Now March just seems so far away because we're very anxious to meet our little man. It's definetly reassuring to know he's safe and cozy right now though.

Halloween Rewind.

Last year...

I had decided I wasn't going to put up any decorations this year ... mostly because I'm lazy but when I told Mark he was really sad about it. I didn't think he would care but he said he loves coming home to them so he convinced me to at least put up some fall stuff that we can leave up through the end of Novemeber. I put them up today and realized he was right ... decorations do warm the soul.

In the process of putting up the decorations I found some props from Boston's costume last year and had fun trying his glasses on him again. He's been walking all around the house carrying his axe. It cracks me up.

no stopping him now.

Boston's new love is taking us on walks around our complex. We were surprised to realize that he can find his way to Kennedy and Cameron's house and often walks straight there. He loves playing with them and we're glad they live so close. These videos aren't all that thrilling but I know my mom will appreciate them.
