Our Little Princess!

Okay so maybe I'm cruel but the other day I was going through Boston's clothes and packing away things that don't fit him anymore and I came upon this little number... princess pajamas! How did my little boy end up with princess pjs?... I'm so confused?... Did I buy them before I knew what we were having? or more likely... did I just see the blue trim and buy them thinking they were boy pjs without taking notice to the pink crowns!! Shows how much thought I put into the clothes I buy him, poor guy! Well either way I thought, hey I think these would fit him so I tried them on. Mark didn't really think it was a good idea, he thought I was being cruel but it's not like he can read right?... Needless to say after our little fashion show he went to bed in "boy's" pjs but I put them in our 72 hr. kit so if there's ever a natural disaster our little man will be dressed like a girl... but at least he'll be warm!

Hair Evolution

Our bald little baby is starting to get hair! I'm not sure how I feel about this. First teeth, now hair!... he's going to look so different!




It's still pretty thin but it's starting to get long.

It's definetly getting lighter.

First Trip to the Park

The weather has been so gorgeous lately and I've wanted to be outside enjoying every minute of it ... even though it's still pretty cold. So this week we took Boston on a long walk and we stopped at a park so he could go on a swing and down a slide for the first time. I can't wait to do more of this in the months to come!



I'm always distracting Mark from doing his homework... it's not good. = )

SUPERMAN!!... Boston apparently thinks his bib should be worn backwords. I think it's Mark's proudest moment.

A Valentine Surprise!

I wanted to be really creative this year for Valentines and come up with something to do at home while Boston was asleep so this is what I did...

I draped our porch in fabric so that it was closed off from everything and looked really romantic. Then I lit a bunch of candles and grilled some of Mark's favorite foods... spicy black bean burgers and sweet potato fries. It was all waiting for him when he got home.



Then after an amazing dinner he walked inside to this surprise waiting for him...



I bought glow in the dark stars and stuck them all over the ceiling so that when the lights were out we could stare up at the stars. We had a chocolate fondue for desert. It was such a fun night and Mark said it was the best Valentines he's ever had so I guess it was a complete success!! That's good considering it took me about 6 hours to set up for!

A Mini Mission Reunion

Mark served in the England Manchester Mission from Feb 2001 - March 2003. We got together the other night with some of the people he served with and had such a great time. I really prefered the intimate setting to the large mission reunions I have attended in the past. We had amazing fajitas and magaritas and great conversation. I hope we can do this again soon!


Also funny sidenote ... have you guys heard of the controversial calendar that came out a while back of LDS missionaries scantly dressed. It's titled "Men on a Mission" ... well the guy with long brown hair standing next to Mark in the blue shirt is in it... Haha! What a way to represent the mission.

Boston amazes me more and more everyday! He has such a fun personality and makes me laugh all the time! We love having him in our family!
