My first trip to the beach!

We took Boston to the beach for the first time while we were in San Diego visiting some friends. It was a very windy day.

Mark wanted to put Boston's feet in the water but we decided not to because it was too cold. We enjoyed the beauty of it all though.

Eating off a spoon...

Attempt #1: rice cereal

Attempt #2: Prunes and Apples

We've only done it a few times so far but it's so entertaining! I love watching him make a mess of everything.

Cousins!

Boston enjoyed spending time with his cousins in Palm Springs over Christmas break.

Kennedy decided to lay down on Boston's play mate with him.

She liked holding him and would share her baby doll with him so that he could have someone to play with.

Happy birthday grandpa!

This post is especially for my dad because today is his birthday and I thought what is more fun then seeing your grandson laughing for the first time! It's courtesy of Mark who does lots of impersenations that Boston just loves! He can always get Boston going so good. Today I tried to talk in another voice and Boston just looked up at me and burst into tears ... haha! So aparently I'm not as good an actor as he is.
P.s. To our British friends, Mark says: "Please forgive me for butchering your beautiful accent [or non-accent if you prefer] as well as exaggerating about your Royal Family and petrol prices, etc.; Boston loves the drama." :)

4 months old!

Boston had his four month appointment today and it was fun to see how much he's grown. He's now 14.7 lbs. (48%tile) and 25.5 in. long (72%tile)! Other than some dry skin he's as healthy as can be! And for the dry skin our Dr. prescribed ... HAWAII (the humidity)!! It just so happens that my dad is working in Hawaii right now so I'm going to do my best to follow our Dr.'s orders or in other words see if I can talk him into letting us come stay with him!

We did just find out we'll be spending close to 3 weeks in California over Christmas break so we're really looking forward to the loooong break! We're going to Palm Springs for a week with Mark's family then we'll visit some friends in southern california for a few days and then spend a week in Sacramento with my family and it couldn't come a minute too soon. = )

Boston is enjoying his "BOUNCY THANG!!"

My favorite time of year...

I don't think I've been this excited for Christmas since I was a little kid ... I think it's because I have a little kid now so it's re-kindled my love for the holidays. I also feel like this past year has been the best year of my life and I have so much to be grateful for. I don't think I would change a single thing about my life. Most of my life I think I've fallen into the habit of feeling like "my life will be better when..." or "I can't wait until..." but right now I wish I could just freeze time and stay in this stage of our lives longer because I know it will fly by too fast.

Someone asked me how old Boston was the other day and I said 3 months then later realized "wait he's 4 months" ... were did time go. I feel like I can't even blink or I'll open my eyes and he'll be getting on the school bus. Is it weird that I already miss him? He has made my life so fulfilling.

On Saturday we put up our Christams decorations and Boston loves to look at them. They keep him entertained for a while so they serve more then one purpose in our house!

My favorite time of the day...

Boston usually wakes up around eight and we always go get him out of his crib and bring him into bed with us. This buys us an extra 30 minutes or on a great day an hour of cuddling with our sweet boy. He's always so smily and laughs a lot in the morning so it's the best way to wake up. He has started sleeping eleven hours straight through the night without waking up to eat!! It's not an everyday occurence yet but it's becoming more and more frequent which has been amazing! It's so fun to wake up to the sound of laughiing and to look over and see my two favorite boys playing together.
